Book Worm

We started reading to J when she was three-months-old in an attempt to establish some routine bedtime cues. It worked like a charm – she is not only a great sleeper, but has really turned into quite the little book worm. These days, we do less of the reading and more of the listening. She has opted to be the chief page turner and story teller – a fun role  reversal. We try to keep things exciting (not only for her but for us too!) by picking up a few new books from the library each week. On one recent trip we came across Pete the Cat, by Eric Litwin, and found this corresponding, catchy little song  I love my white shoeson you tube. It was an instant hit and J had a great time dancing along. I hope this love affair with books carries on, afterall, we do live in Vancouver and what better to do on a rainy day than snuggle up with a good book?
